Our House: Bathroom Renovation

Bathroom Renovation Inspiration / Our house is a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath and the bathroom definitely needed to be updated. It originally had an old school built in shower and separate bathtub with a tiny vanity. Since we only have one bathroom I wanted to maximize the space as much as we could. We plan on combining the bathtub and shower into one unit and then increasing the footprint of the vanity to include a double sink with lots of storage underneath.

Our House: Kitchen Renovation

Kitchen Design by elizabeth lawson design / via See and Savour OMG I have a house! When I first moved to California buying a home here seemed so far fetched to me. Coming from Atlanta where the houses are half the price and triple the size California real estate was definitely a shocker. Fast forward eight years and now I’m officially a homeowner! It took us 5 months to find our house, the first house we put an offer in we were overbid by 100,000 (which sad to say

Travelogue: St. George, Utah

Visiting Snow Canyon in St. George Utah / See and Savour Last month my friend T and I headed to Utah for an Instameet with Visit St. George. It was a quick three day trip but we had so much fun discovering all that St. George had to offer. You’ve probably heard of or visited one of the most popular spots near St. George, Zion National Park. We hiked a strenuous 8 mile up to Observation Point. It was a butt kicker but well worth the view at the

Travelogue: Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Travelogue: Ha Long Bay / See and Savour My love for Vietnam happened the very first time I visited Ha Long Bay. Floating in the middle of the bay, my mind was filled with a sense of calm. Ha Long Bay was one of those places that left a mark on me and I was eager to return to see how much it had changed. Despite being away for seven years – it was almost as I remembered. Unfortunately, with the additional popularity, there seems to

Travel Guide: Hoi An, Vietnam

Hoi An, Vietnam / See and Savour Hoi An it sits along the central coast of Vietnam and is a city with ancient history, traditional architecture. Now the city is a popular tourist destination – and I can totally see why. Hoi An is small but it’s a great walking town filled with colorful walls and people. Although I felt Hoi An to be quite crowded for my liking there are quite a few gems here. I’d suggest one or two nights here would be

Travel Guide: Saigon, Vietnam

Lunch Lady - Saigon, Vietnam / See and Savour Vietnam has such a special place in my heart. Back in 2010 I traveled to Thailand to teach English and spent some additional traveling around Southeast Asia. Vietnam was one of those places I couldn’t get out of my head. I had an amazing time and loved soaking up the culture and environment. I was eager to return and explore the southern side and revisit some old favorites. Our first stop on our two-week trip was Saigon (also

Travel Guide: Hong Kong

Hong Kong City Guide / See and Savour Back in December, I had the pleasure of visiting Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific and Passion Passport. They sent me there to explore the eclectic food scene while using their new credit card. You can check out a clip of what we did here. Hong Kong is like a tiny big city, filled with concrete high-rises, parks, and rich with diversity. The shopping scene is big – high fashion, boutiques and shopping malls like I’ve never seen. If
